Senior System Safety Engineer

RMC is seeking a senior system safety engineer to provide direct Navy and Marine Corps system safety support for system development activities such as integrated products teams, working group meetings, documentation reviews, design reviews, test events, or related functions.  Coordinate and execute comprehensive technical data packages, Safety Assessment Reports, and presentations to support government project teams.  Identify, document, and track resolutions of safety anomalies and issues associated with missile, gunnery, and other weapons and weapon system platforms.  Interface directly with senior government staff responsible for system safety to provide decision-quality data and actionable recommendations for addressing weapon system safety considerations.

 Duty Locations:

  • Dahlgren, VA
  • Lexington Park, MD

 Experience Requirements:

  • 7 years or more of work experience
  • In-depth understanding of DoD policies, guidance, and best practices regarding system safety
  • Knowledge and the ability to apply system safety principles and methods in the design, development, maintenance, and operation of Naval weapons programs through various safety analyses and testing
  • Experienced with preparing system safety analysis documentation in accordance with MIIL-STD-882 series
  • Ability to analyze hardware, software, human interface and considerations, and firmware
  • Familiarity with Navy and Marine Corps weapons systems and platforms, and associated system safety considerations
  • Ability to provide support for data collection, analysis, technical report generation, and presentation development for government customers and system safety subject matter experts

 Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related disciplines; master’s degree preferred

 Security Clearance Requirements:

  • DoD Secret clearance or above or the ability to obtain such a clearance level

Software System Safety Engineer

RMC is seeking a software system safety engineer to provide direct Navy and Marine Corps system safety support for system development activities such as integrated products teams, working group meetings, documentation reviews, design reviews, test events, or related functions.  Coordinate and execute comprehensive technical data packages, Safety Assessment Reports, and presentations to support government project teams.  Monitor and track safety anomalies and issues associated with missile, gunnery, and other weapons and weapon system platforms.

 Prepare software system safety analysis documentation in accordance with the Joint Software Systems Safety Engineering Handbook.  Maintain total systems engineering perspectives and legacy infrastructure components.  Perform code analysis in specific programming languages to initiate or enhance program execution and functionality.  Evaluate, recommend, and select hardware and software solutions.  Research and analyze data processing functions, methods and procedures.

 Experience Requirements:

  • 3 years of work experience
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-882 series and system safety analysis documentation
  • Familiarity with the Joint Software Systems Safety Engineering Handbook and able to prepare software system safety analysis documentation
  • Understanding of Information Assurance architectures and end-to-end systems engineering lifecycle
  • Knowledge of messaging/data delivery frameworks and service oriented architecture
  • Experienced with Java, J2EE, and JavaScript development
  • Familiarity with the full Information Technology lifecycle which includes requirements interpretation, system development, testing, production, and implementation
  • In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, operating system software and desktop applications with a specific concentration in one or more areas
  • Experience with one or more structured programming languages; hardware or software design methods and processes; application development tools; C, C++, UNIX/Linux; design principles and applications related to integrated plant, aircraft, ship and/or weapons systems (Naval architecture only)

Information Assurance Specialist

Information Assurance Specialist needed with 2-3 years experience in Windows-based network administration and desktop support.  Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in relevant field desired, but can substitute experience for education.  CompTIA Security+ and MCP, MCSA, or MCSE required.  Responsibilities include assisting in the management of a Windows 2003 domain with 300 workstations, supporting centralized antivirus, system patching, vulnerability scanning and mitigation.  Ideal candidate will have strong familiarity with Navy IT/IA policies and procedures and will be required to meet 8570.01-M IAT worker requirements.  Candidate must have excellent communication skills and must be a self-starter.  U.S. citizenship and a DoD Secret clearance are required for this position.  If a clearance is not currently held, must be able to qualify for one.  This position is in Charles County, MD.

Critical Infrastructure Protection Analyst

Mid- to Senior- Level Business Development (BD) (Manager)

Primary responsibility will be to develop business opportunities in support of the Resource Management Concepts, Inc. (RMC) strategic plan, reporting to the CEO.  Will support RMC’s Division Directors with re-compete business and identification and recommendation of new business opportunities.  Assists in formulating corporate strategies and plans to capture new business leads and related activities.  Supports the development of short and long range business forecasts and marketing plans.  Performs analytical and research activities in support of business development, strategic planning, proposal development and marketing functions.  Performs and supports capture management and proposal development.  Analyzes and researches customer and competitor information and data. May make initial contact with business targets and decision makers in pursuit of BD objectives.  Maintains contact with customers to ensure their satisfaction, continued business relationships, and follow-on BD opportunities.
The primary customer base is the Federal Government to include the Department of Navy, Department of Army, and Department of Homeland Security.  A candidate should have knowledge of these customers and be able to convert their knowledge into new business strategies; have customer contacts, and have the ability to influence decision-makers; be knowledgeable of and able to strategically position RMC for new and continued growth; have a record of successful business development.
Position can be located in Lexington Park, MD or Arlington, VA.

Qualifications:
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in management, marketing, or related field.
Minimum of 6 years of Federal government related business development experience required. Small business experience is a plus.
Abilty to obtain a Secret clearance is required.
